Who the GIANTS Represent 

The GIANTS’ Cultural Heritage Series clash with the Tigers will allow the GIANTS to showcase just some of the incredibly diverse cultures and communities that they represent across Western Sydney,

The Greater Western Sydney Region encompasses the thirteen local government areas from Parramatta to the Blue Mountains, from Hawkesbury to Wollondilly.

The Western Sydney region is one of the most diverse regions in Australia, with people from over 170 different countries calling Western Sydney home.

As we prepare for our exciting multicultural festival on Saturday, May 31, here are some stats around the Western Sydney community that the GIANTS represent and why it’s important to the club to showcase multiculturalism and welcome new and existing fans along to celebrate the culture diversity of Western Sydney:

- Western Sydney had a 2.7m population in 2023 and is projected to reach 3.2m by 2036

- 46% of the Western Sydney population speak a language at home other than English - 100+ different languages spoken. The dominant languages include:

- Arabic​

- Mandarin

- Vietnamese

- Cantonese

- Hindi

- Punjabi

- Ancestry from over 170 + nationalities, including dominant communities from Chinese, Indian, Irish, Lebanese and Scottish

- Western Sydney is home to over 55,000 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents.
