One of the GIANTS’ most popular players during his career, Shane Mumford joined the club’s coaching group in 2022 as the ruck and stoppages coach.

Regarded as one of the premier ruckmen of the last decade, Mumford’s decorated career came to an end in 2021 after 13 seasons at the elite level.

The bruising ruckman played 216 games at Geelong, the Swans, and the GIANTS where he claimed the 2014 Kevin Sheedy Medal as the club’s Club Champion in his first season in orange and charcoal.

Mumford played in the GIANTS’ 2019 Grand Final side and won a premiership with the Swans in 2012.
