Originally taken by the Bulldogs with the number one pick in the 2017 AFLW Draft, Huntington quickly emerged as a young gun of the competition and went on to earn All-Australian honours in 2020 as well as the club’s best and fairest and Rising Star awards. After suffering her third ACL injury, Huntington joined the GIANTS in mid-2022 looking for a fresh start. Fully recovered from her ACL injury, the star forward made her long-awaited GIANTS debut in round three of the 2023 season against the Tigers and went on to play the remaining seven games of the season. Huntington was moved to a new role as a defender ahead of the 2024 season where her strong hands saw her thrive as an intercept defender. Adapting brilliantly to her new role down back, Huntington led the entire competition in intercept marks per game, while finishing fourth in contested marks and fifth in marks per game to become a crucial piece of the GIANTS’ backline in 2024.
