A star of the competition and a newcomer to the GIANTS in 2026, the Hawks’ inaugural AFLW skipper swapped the brown and gold for orange and charcoal in the summer via the 2025 AFLW Trade Period. A 2024 All Australian and a 2024 Hawthorn best and fairest winner, Lucas-Rodd has established a reputation as one of the league’s best ball winners out of defence since making the move from the midfield to the backline in the 2022 season. Originally drafted by Carlton ahead of the inaugural AFLW season, Lucas-Rodd spent three seasons at the Blues and then three at the Saints before four campaigns with the Hawks prior to becoming a GIANT. With 90 games of AFLW experience heading into the 2026 season, Lucas-Rodd will add a host of experience, toughness and ball-winning ability to the GIANTS in 2026. They join the GIANTS off a strong 2025 season, averaging 21.4 disposals and 3.9 tackles per game for the Hawks. Highlighting Lucas-Rodd's standing in the game, they were added to the GIANTS’ leadership group for their debut season at the club in 2026.
