A GIANTS Academy product recruited by the club in the 2022 Rookie Draft, Madden is a hulking 204cm ruckman who has spent the last two years developing under the guidance of ruck coach Shane Mumford. Hailing from Osborne in New South Wales’ Riverina region, Madden is an ultra-competitive ruckman who has impressive skills and ruck craft for a player of his age. Madden pressed his claims for an AFL debut in 2024 with an eye-catching run of dominant VFL form before his season was hampered by a lengthy ankle injury. Madden’s talent and hard work was rewarded last year with a two-year contract extension to tie him to the club until the end of the 2026 season.
