Lachie Ash possesses line-breaking speed and the ability to read the ball exceptionally well. A fantastic leader, Ash was the Vic Country co-captain in the 2019 NAB AFL Under-18 Championships before being drafted to the GIANTS at pick four. Clean by foot, Ash can also play through the midfield and models his game on fellow GIANT Lachie Whitfield. He made his debut in round three, 2020 and played 12 of 17 games in his debut year, earning him the GIANTS' Rising Star Award.
He has played 56 games since being selected with pick four in the 2019 NAB AFL Draft. In 2022, he averaged 16 disposals and 4.6 marks a game and is due for a big 2023 under new Senior Coach Adam Kingsley.
