The GIANTS welcomed the versatile Cooper Hamilton to the club with their only live selection in the NAB AFL Rookie Draft. The medium defender/midfielder has elite endurance which enables him to get to multiple contests as well as outnumber the opposition. A very strong contested mark, he also uses the ball effectively by hand and foot. An excellent runner, Hamilton smashed the GIANTS 2km time-trial record in his first week at the club. The young defender/midfielder played four games in 2022, including one as the unused medical sub, and averaged 10.2 disposals a game. His best effort came against Carlton in round nine, picking up 19 disposals.
