Taken by the GIANTS with pick 44 in the 2023 AFL Draft, Fonti is a medium defender who flourished in the WAFL after being moved from the midfield to defence in 2023. He was picked up by the GIANTS following a series of impressive outings for Claremont as well as Western Australia’s state side where his intercept marking and dash from defence stood out. Fonti burst onto the AFL scene with a brilliant debut in round 17, 2024 in a thrilling win over the Blues at ENGIE Stadium. He went on to finish his debut season with five games of AFL experience, with poise and silky skills proving he’s got an exciting future in orange and charcoal. The speedy defender added 17 games and a Rising Star nomination to his name in 2025 to establish himself as a valuable piece in the GIANTS’ backline.
