GIANTS forward Matt de Boer is set to return to the line-up against Gold Coast at Spotless Stadium this Saturday.

The experienced leader has missed the last three games with a hamstring injury but is available for selection in round 12.

In further good news for the GIANTS, defender Adam Kennedy is on track to play his first competitive game since May 2017 having recovered from a ruptured ACL.

Both de Boer and Kennedy will have to get through training this week to take to the field.

“We’re pleased with how Matt has progressed through his hamstring rehab,” Head of Athletic Performance David Joyce said.

“He’s at full strength and full confidence. He had a big session on the weekend and I expect him to be available this weekend.

“We’re rapt to say that Adam will be available to play his first game after his knee reconstruction.

“We couldn’t be more proud of the way he’s gone about his rehabilitation.”

Vice-captain Stephen Coniglio is listed as a test having finished Sunday’s victory in Adelaide on the bench due to concussion

“He’s improving day to day but the thing with concussion is there’s a strict milestone led approach to make sure someone’s okay to play,” Joyce said.

“He’s going through that at the moment and if he gets through those things without issue he’ll be able to play.”

Meanwhile, defender Tim Mohr is also a test after missing last week with a shoulder injury.

Tom Scully, Brett Deledio, Toby Greene and Zac Williams remain on track to return to the field after the mid-season bye.
