The GIANTS have a long and proud history in Canberra, having firmly established a footprint in the nation's capital from the club's inception. The club committed to playing at least three Premiership season matches in Canberra each season while also playing pre-season and AFL Women's matches at Manuka Oval wherever possible. The GIANTS have had many iconic moments at Manuka Oval including the club's first-ever win - coming in round seven, 2012 against the Gold Coast Suns. Many GIANTS players have also hailed from or spent time in the nation's capital and surrounding areas including Phil Davis, Harry Himmelberg and Tom Green in the AFL program as well as AFLW star Britt Tully, Jessica Allan, Jodie Hicks, Ellie Brush, Emily Pease and Tarni Evans.
