Medium forward Nathan Wardius will miss the remainder of the season after rupturing his ACL in the club’s VFL game against Footscray on Friday.
The Category B Rookie will consult with a surgeon this week to plan for surgery.
Emerging midfielder Toby McMullin has also suffered a season-ending injury, with scans confirming a syndesmosis injury for the youngster.
The 20-year-old underwent surgery on Monday to repair the damage.
Meanwhile, Jack Buckley and Josh Kelly are making progress in their respective recoveries from calf strains.
The duo will increase their running this week, as they continue to aim for a return in the GIANTS’ final game of the home and away season.
Brent Daniels continues to build on his training loads, working with the medical and high-performance teams to rehabilitate his adductor injury.
Jesse Hogan will also be a test for this week, as he continues to manage ongoing foot soreness.
The GIANTS will take on the Kangaroos in Canberra on Sunday afternoon, while the club’s VFL side has a bye.
