Star forward Jesse Hogan will be a test for this weekend’s ANZAC clash with the Bulldogs at Manuka Oval.

The reigning Coleman Medallist was a late out for last weekend’s trip to South Australia to face the Crows after presenting calf tightness and failing to get through the club's captain’s run on the Friday.

Hogan trained on Tuesday and will need to get through Thursday’s main training to prove his fitness and availability.

GIANTS vice-captain, Stephen Coniglio, will also be a test this weekend, as he progresses to full training this week following a glute injury.

Canberran Logan Smith has a return date in sight having now recovered from illness which had him sidelined for the first part of the season.

Smith will be reintroduced to contact training as he increases his training load over the next three weeks.

Meanwhile, Brent Daniels will remain sidelined for three to four weeks as he continues to recover from an abdominal strain.

The small forward will continue to be assessed by the medical team as he gradually returns to full training over the coming weeks.

The GIANTS will travel to Canberra this weekend to take on the Bulldogs at Manuka Oval on Saturday evening.
