Two youngsters will re-join the side for this weekend’s Sir Doug Nicholls Round match at ENGIE Stadium (formerly GIANTS Stadium).
Xavier O’Halloran and Jacob Wehr have both been added to the team for this Saturday’s homecoming clash with the Bulldogs.
O’Halloran has spent the past two weeks in the GIANTS’ VFL side but an impressive performance against the Dolphins last week – including 31 touches, 11 clearances, 11 tackles and a goal – has seen him earn a return to Adam Kingsley’s side.
Wehr has been included for his ninth game of the season, with the 25-year-old set to continue his striking start to the 2024 season on the wing.
Conor Stone has retained his place in the team after making a long-awaited return to the side in last week’s loss against the Bombers.
Meanwhile, Jesse Hogan will line up for his 150th AFL game when he runs out for the GIANTS on Saturday.
A pair of key GIANTS - Josh Kelly and Lachie Ash - are both expected to miss the next six weeks following the diagnosis of respective calf injuries earlier this week.
Saturday’s round 10 clash will mark the first of the two-week long Sir Doug Nicholls Round celebrations, which recognises and celebrates indigenous players and culture within the AFL and wider society.
The GIANTS will this Saturday wear their 2024 Indigenous jumper, called Maaluga Ngarriylanha.
The GIANTS will take on the Bulldogs this Saturday at ENGIE Stadium at 4:35pm.
