MILESTONE

Reliable defender Jack Buckley will celebrate his 50th AFL game against the Lions on Thursday. Buckley was drafted to the GIANTS as a Category B Rookie in 2017 and made his debut three seasons later in round 17, 2020. A former forward and a trialled wingman, Buckley now forms one of the league's most formidable backline duos, alongside teammate Sam Taylor. The 26-year-old's emergence took some time with the star defender forced to miss 600 days of football with an ACL injury in 2021.
