Number 10 - Aiden Bonar

The GIANTS’ top draft pick Aiden Bonar chose the number 10 jumper without hesitation. The strong-bodied midfielder, who has already overcome two knee reconstructions, chose the previous number of Devon Smith who departed the club at the end of season 2017.

Number 15 – Sam Taylor

Defender Sam Taylor will wear number 15 when he steps out onto the field. Taylor is a graduate of the NAB AFL Academy and earned All Australian honours after a very successful campaign with the Western Australian Under-18 squad. Only two players have worn number 15 at AFL level for the GIANTS with the most recent being now-Blue Matt Kennedy.

Number 16 – Brent Daniels

A quick and agile forward from Victoria, Brent Daniels was described by GIANTS National Recruiting Manager Adrian Caruso as “the best small forward in the draft”. He will wear number 16 after inaugural GIANT Nathan Wilson moved to Fremantle.

Number 17 – Zac Langdon

Steve Johnson’s number 17 jumper will go to another creative forward in Dampier’s Zac Langdon. The mature-age recruit is a versatile small forward with exceptional stamina, which was on display when he won the yo-yo test in the WA Draft Combine.

Number 25 – Lachie Keeffe

Two digits up from his old number at Collingwood, former ‘Pie Lachie Keeffe will wear the number 25 for the GIANTS. The tall utility can play everywhere on the ground and was chosen by the GIANTS during the Delisted Free Agency period. Number 25 belonged to retired Docker and GIANT Tendai Mzungu in 2017.

Number 34 – Nick Shipley

Nick Shipley is the first GIANTS Academy prospect from Western Sydney to be drafted to the club and he will begin his GIANTS career in the number 34 jumper. The number was vacant last season with now-Blue Caleb Marchbank the most recent player to don the jumper.

Number 41 – Jack Buckley

There’s a big jumper to fill – literally – for local recruit Jack Buckley who will take over Shane Mumford’s number 41 jumper. Buckley is no stranger to the GIANTS after playing for the club in the NEAFL at half-forward and on the wing. His father, North Melbourne Chairman Ben Buckley, said he is “extremely excited about the opportunity for Jack”.

Number 43 – Dylan Buckley

Dylan Buckley will wear number 43 for the GIANTS after the former Blue joined the GIANTS as a rookie.  The hard-running forward played 39 games for Carlton over a span of six years after being picked up in the draft under the father-son rule. It’s a whole new number for Buckley, who wore number 7 with the Blues. Now Lion Jake Barrett is the most recent GIANT to wear number 43.
