GIANTS Assistant Coach Dean Brogan will depart the club as he moves away from the football industry to return to Adelaide.

Brogan joined the GIANTS for their inaugural season as a player-coach and represented the club for two seasons on-field before transitioning into an Assistant Coaching role.

Since 2014 Brogan has had responsibility for the coaching of the GIANTS’ stoppages and the development of the ruckmen on the club’s list.

Brogan will relocate with his young family back to his home town of Adelaide to take up a role with the GIANTS’ technology partner Efex.

GIANTS General Manager of Football Wayne Campbell paid tribute to Brogan and wished him well in the next phase of his career.

“Dean has been here from the start and as a player provided much-needed support to our young list,” Campbell said.

“His move into coaching was seamless where he formed great relationships with our players and staff.

"Not only has he been instrumental in working with our experienced rucks and midfielders, he's been terrific in developing our young players.

“Dean will continue to have strong links to the club in his new role and we wish he and his family all the best in their move back to Adelaide.”
