With some of the biggest stars in world sport descending on ANZ Stadium this Saturday night, the Greater Western Sydney GIANTS have announced a special offer to celebrate the occasion.

Anyone with a ticket to ANZ Stadium will be able to come and see the GIANTS play Essendon at ŠKODA Stadium on Saturday afternoon free of charge.

All fans have to do is present their ANZ Stadium ticket at the gates at ŠKODA Stadium to gain entry.

GIANTS CEO David Matthews said it was a great opportunity for sports fans to come and watch AFL at ŠKODA Stadium as Kevin Sheedy coached against his old club for the final time.

"When it was announced Manchester United would play at ANZ Stadium, we moved the start time of our match against Essendon to 2.10pm to give everyone the opportunity to attend both events if they wish," he said.

"Sydney Olympic Park is the city's premier precinct to watch world class sport and ŠKODA Stadium is a first class venue to watch AFL and we hope fans will take the chance to enjoy all it has to offer.

"Kevin Sheedy is one of the greats of the AFL. Last year he become the first person to play and coach 1000 games and this Saturday will be the last time he will coach against Essendon, the club he led to four premierships over 27 years.

"He is also a great supporter of sport generally and the opportunities it presents to all people regardless of their background. Last year we were lucky enough to visit Manchester United and meet the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson and we are delighted they are in Sydney this weekend."

The GIANTS will play Essendon at ŠKODA Stadium this Saturday July 20 starting at 2.10pm.

Fans attending ANZ Stadium on Saturday night can present their tickets at ŠKODA Stadium to gain free entry to the match on Saturday night. ANZ Stadium is just a short walk from ŠKODA Stadium at Sydney Olympic Park.

All other tickets can be purchased at www.gwsgiants.com.au or through Ticketmaster.com.au.

Please note: Entry is subject to capacity.
