Young ruck Nick Madden is set for an extended stint on the sidelines due to a knee injury. 

Madden landed on both his knees following a ball up in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s seven-point win over the Kangaroos. 

Following presenting symptoms on Tuesday upon return to the club, the 21-year-old was sent for a scan on Tuesday evening. 

Scans confirmed a PCL strain in his right knee, with Madden to be placed in a specialised knee brace for the next 4-6 weeks. Following that period, a more specific return to play timeline will be determined.
