Hailing from Albury, Gothard is regarded as one of the most athletic players in the class of 2023. Drafted based on his stellar form for both the Allies and the Murray Bushrangers, Gothard is a clean, one-touch player who loves to take the game with his run and carry but also applies pressure at an elite level. Selected at pick 12, the GIANTS view Gothard as a seamless fit for their high-octane, pressure-based gameplan and feel he can go to another level in their full-time AFL environment.
