A powerful footballer taken with pick 15 in the 2020 AFL Draft, Stone is a versatile utility capable of playing on all three lines but has more recently settled as a rebounding defender. Stone made his debut in round four, 2021 and played four games in his debut season before hamstring injuries interrupted the rest of his year. Traditionally playing in the front half in his first few seasons at the GIANTS, the club moved Stone to defence in 2024 where his running power was a real weapon as he spent time across the club’s AFL and VFL sides. While adding four games to his AFL tally in 2024, Stone continued to push his case with excellent form in the VFL where he was awarded the GIANTS 2024 VFL Player of the Year award. Despite being a tough backline to break into, Stone added seven more AFL games to his name in 2025.
