A GIANTS Life Member and one of the league’s most respected players, Eva is one of few remaining inaugural AFLW players after beginning her career with Collingwood in 2017. Joining the GIANTS in 2018 following a season with the Pies, Eva has been an extremely influential figure both on and off the field for the GIANTS. Eva was the club’s second-ever AFLW captain where she led the side for five seasons before stepping down from the role at the conclusion of the 2023 season. Eva was originally named the vice-captain of the GIANTS in her first season in 2018 where she starred from the get-go, crowned the Gabrielle Trainor Medallist and named in the All-Australian team in her first season in orange and charcoal. A tough, hard-running midfielder for most of her career, Eva was moved to a new role up forward in 2024 where her footy smarts and leadership were crucial to the club’s exciting young forward line. Eva’s playing career as well as her leadership and commitment to growing the women’s game has cemented her stature as one of the league’s most admired players. Previously a member of the club’s AFL coaching ranks, Eva will now juggle her playing commitments with her new role as the Head Coach of the GIANTS’ Female Academy in 2026.
