GIANTS players Lachie Plowman and Zac Williams have helped launch newly branded ACTION buses to provide free travel for fans to StarTrack Oval, Canberra on game days.

The players joined representatives from the Brumbies, Raiders and ACT Comets to reveal the branded buses in Canberra.

The ACTION buses promote free travel from the City to StarTrack Oval and GIO Stadium for all ticket holders.

Supporters of the GIANTS, Brumbies, Raiders and cricket in the ACT will be able to enjoy the free service by simply producing their match ticket to the bus driver.

ACT Minister for Sport Andrew Barr said the joint venture between the Government and sporting codes was started after community feedback over parking, traffic and availability at sporting venues. It is hoped Canberrans will take advantage of the free services to and from the games.

"It’s great to see the sporting codes and Government working together to ensure the success of these events in our vibrant city," Barr said.

GIANTS fans can use this initiative next when the GIANTS take on the Western Bulldogs at StarTrack Oval, Canberra on Saturday April 12 at 4.40pm.
