Experienced GIANTS forward Steve Johnson will miss the next 1-2 weeks with foot soreness.

Johnson, 32, hasn’t missed a game since joining the GIANTS ahead of the 2016 season.

The veteran of 265 AFL games has kicked 24 goals this season and is averaging 19.6 possessions a game.

Coach Leon Cameron praised Johnson on Sunday night following the GIANTS victory over the Swans.

"He was terrific today in such a big game but he's an old warrior, just a competitive man,” said Cameron.

"We probably should have rested him a few of weeks ago, and I was disappointed I didn't make that decision.

"He plays such a physical brand of footy and just likes to hit bodies."

Meanwhile, Forward Will Hoskin-Elliott will be sidelined for three weeks after suffering a grade one hamstring injury at training.

Defenders Adam Kennedy (shoulder), Aidan Corr (ankle), Caleb Marchbank (ankle) and Tim Mohr (hamstring) remain in the rehab group along with forward Devon Smith (knee).
