Our Season Summary looks back at how each GIANTS player fared during the 2015 AFL season.

Name: Tomas Bugg

Number: 14

2015 Games:  16 AFL/ 6 NEAFL

AFL Fantasy Average: 59

Awards: Nil

Background: Tomas Bugg joined the GIANTS as a 17-year-old access selection in 2011. He made his debut in Round 1, 2012 and earned a NAB Rising Star nomination that year.

Best Game: Round 22 v Carlton - 22 touches, 2 goals, 4 marks and 2 tackles.

Summary: It was an up and down year for Bugg who played a number of defensive roles on both opposition midfielders and small forwards. Bugg started the season well, playing the first 12 games before being dropped to the NEAFL for six matches. He was re-called in Round 20 and played the final four matches of the season. Bugg had an injury-free season and averaged 16 disposals, his best effort since 2012.

Pat On The Back: It would have been easy for Bugg to drop his head after playing reserves but he worked hard on his game and finished the year strongly.

What They Said: “Tomas worked hard in the NEAFL and certainly earned his re-call after some strong performances” - GIANTS Coach Leon Cameron.

Look Ahead: Bugg has now played 65 games in the AFL and is getting more and more experienced each year. Next season Bugg will aim to cement a place in the seniors.
