Co-captains Callan Ward and Phil Davis are both a chance of returning for the GIANTS against the Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

Ward (calf) and Davis (calf/concussion) both missed the match against Collingwood at Spotless Stadium due to injury and will undergo fitness tests later this week.

Meanwhile defender Adam Kennedy will miss the GIANTS final match of the season after undergoing shoulder surgery.

Kennedy has played 20 games this season but has undergone surgery today to be ready for pre-season training.

Forward Jed Lamb will also undergo ankle surgery this week, ruling him out of the GIANTS Round 23 match as well as the NEAFL Finals.

Midfielders Jono O’Rourke and Mark Whiley miss the final AFL match of the season due to hamstring injuries. Both players are eligible to line up for the UWS GIANTS in the NEAFL Finals, which start for the GIANTS on September 6.

In other injury news, forward Jon Patton has undergone surgery on his knee today after the 21-year old ruptured his ACL against Melbourne in Round 21.
