Isaac Cumming will return to the field via the VFL this weekend. 
 
After a pre-season calf injury affected the wingman’s preparations, Cumming will return to the field this weekend when the VFL side takes on the Kangaroos at Blacktown on Friday afternoon. 
 
As confirmed last week, key defender Sam Taylor will miss Thursday’s blockbuster ANZAC Day clash against the Lions as the 24-year-old continues to recover from a concussion sustained in round five. 

The All-Australian defender is tracking well and is expected to return to full training next week should he continue to progress as expected through the protocols. 

As also confirmed last week, the GIANTS will be without vice-captain Stephen Coniglio as he recovers from a minor knee injury.   

Meanwhile small forward Brent Daniels will be a test for Thursday’s clash after he felt knee soreness during Saturday’s game with the small forward playing out the match against Carlton.  

The GIANTS come off a five-day break to take on the Lions at Manuka Oval on Thursday evening.
