GIANTS veteran and resident jokester Heath Shaw is at it again.

Following the success of his team of look-a-likes of the Simpsonsthe Muppets and Harry Potter, Shaw has come to the rescue of Australian cricket with a team of his own.

Always one to look at the positives, the 32-year old has pulled together a team of cricketers from the GIANTS’ ranks that he thinks could pull on the famous baggy green cap.

The two-time All Australian defender has even pulled in former GIANTS runner and footy manager Simon Katich to open the batting in his new team.

As you’d expect from Shaw, the team is heavily reliant on defenders with six backline players named in the GIANTS first XI - something the forwards and midfielders are sure to bring up with the veteran in the coming days.

While not named in Shaw’s team, Australian T20 wicket keeper Alex Carey is another person with considerable talents in both sports with the South Australian being an early member of Team GWS before concentrating on cricket.

Please note - none of team listed below are actually available as they are required for the rest of the Toyota AFL Premiership Season.
