The GIANTS will play four matches at StarTrack Oval in Canberra in 2014 starting with the NAB Challenge clash against the Swans on February 20.

The GIANTS will play the first of their three Toyota AFL Premiership matches against the Western Bulldogs at StarTrack Oval in round four on Saturday April 12.

The game will be played under lights starting at 4.40pm following the success of last year's twilight match against St Kilda which attracted a record crowd of 11,092.

Three weeks later 2013 semi-finalists Port Adelaide will return to Canberra for the first time since 2005 when they play the GIANTS at StarTrack Oval in round seven.
Port Adelaide was the surprise packet of last season, defeating Collingwood in an Elimination Final and will be aiming for another finals berth in 2014.
North Melbourne will also return to Canberra in Round 21 to play the GIANTS in the final game of the year at StarTrack Oval.

Some experts are already predicting the Kangaroos will be one of the big improvers of the competition next year after narrowly missing the finals in 2013.

GIANTS Chief Executive David Matthews said the club was very pleased with its fixture in Canberra.

“It’s great to have the first match between the GIANTS and Swans for the season in Canberra. Make no mistake this is a big rivalry that is only getting bigger and we can't wait to play this game under lights at StarTrack Oval," Matthews said.

"The Western Bulldogs, Port Adelaide and North Melbourne are all good teams that will be eyeing off finals spots next season, and they’re all going to be fantastic games for fans in the ACT.

“We’ve had really strong support in Canberra over the past two seasons and we’re confident that’ll continue in 2014 particularly after what's been a strong trade period for the club with the acquisition of a number of experienced in players like Heath Shaw, Shane Mumford and Josh Hunt.”
