Jed Lamb is officially a GIANTS player after being selected with the first and only pick in the NAB AFL Pre-Season Draft.

Five weeks after committing to becoming a GIANT, Lamb was placed on the club’s list on Wednesday. He has been training with the club for the past week.

The 21-year-old was selected by the Swans at pick 21 in the 2010 NAB AFL Draft and made his debut in 2013, playing 12 games and kicking nine goals.

The GIANTS rounded out their 2014 list by also selecting Sam Schulz with pick one in the NAB AFL Rookie Draft.

From Culcairn in the Riverina, Schultz was one of the GIANTS’ first-ever players as a NSW Zone Selection in 2010. He spent the club’s first two seasons on the senior list, playing his only senior game for the GIANTS in Round 12, 2012.

He was delisted last week but will join the GIANTS’ rookie list for 2014.

GIANTS Head Coach Leon Cameron said he was pleased to have the playing list for 2014 finalised.

"We’ve enjoyed an extremely successful trade and draft period, adding a mix of experience and youth to our list," he said.

“We’ve added over 570 games of experience to our talented young list and we believe it will help us take a significant step forward next season.”

In the off-season the GIANTS have added Heath Shaw, Shane Mumford, Josh Hunt, Dylan Addison and Jed Lamb to their list as well as drafting exciting young talent in Tom Boyd, Josh Kelly, Cameron McCarthy, Rory Lobb and Jake Barrett.

The GIANTS will have 46 players on the senior list for 2014 and one player on the rookie list in line with the club’s expanded list allowance.
