There’s just four days to go until the off-field Twitter Battle is taken on-field when the GIANTS play the Swans in the Battle of the Bridge at Spotless Stadium.

As we count down the days to the GIANTS’ biggest game of the year, we’re also counting down the reasons why you should get in quick and snap up a ticket to the huge clash.

In an AFL first, GIANTS and Swans fans have been taking part in a live Twitter Battle in the lead-up to the Battle of the Bridge at Spotless Stadium on March 15.

Using technology that maps the exact location of tweets sent from mobile devices, GIANTS and Swans fans are attempting to win ground for their team across Sydney and Canberra.

To participate, fans simply switch on their location settings and tweet using either #GOGWSGIANTS or #GOSYDSWANS with a message of support.

Every tweet is pinpointed on a map of Sydney and the ACT with orange for GIANTS and red for Swans and a live percentage graph gives a snapshot of which team’s fans are winning the battle.

The GIANTS are streaking ahead, winning the twitter battle 81 per cent to the Swans' 19 per cent. See more at battleofthebridge.com.

The GIANTS play the Swans in the Battle of the Bridge at Spotless Stadium in Sydney Olympic Park at 4.40pm on Saturday, March 15.

The two sides will play for the White Ribbon Cup in support of White Ribbon; Australia’s only national, male-led primary prevention campaign to end violence against women.
