GIANTS key defender Tim Mohr has made a successful return to football in his first appearance since tearing his ACL in Round 18 last year.

Mohr played three quarters for the UWS GIANTS in a NEAFL practice match against Swans Reserves at Tom Wills Oval on Saturday.

The defender got through his first hit-out unscathed and is expected to see more game time this weekend before being available for a senior recall.

“It was great to see Tim make a successful return through the NEAFL,” GIANTS Head of Athletic Performance David Joyce said.

“We were encouraged by his performance and will look to increase his game time further this weekend."

In more good news for the club there were no injuries to report from the GIANTS' nine-point win over St Kilda on Sunday.

Exciting forward Will Hoskin-Elliott continues his recovery from a shoulder injury while Jon Patton (knee), Lachie Plowman (elbow), Jacob Townsend (foot), Jeremy Finlayson (hip) and Sam Schulz (hip) also remain in the rehabilitation group.
