Forward livewire Will Hoskin-Elliott will miss the GIANTS’ two remaining matches after injuring his knee against the Swans on Saturday.

Hoskin-Elliott suffered a minor strain during a tackle late in the final term but won’t require surgery.

Ruckman Andrew Phillips will also miss the GIANTS' clash with Carlton at Spotless Stadium on Saturday after injuring his shoulder.

The 24-year-old suffered the injury during a marking contest with opposition ruckman Mike Pyke in the second quarter.

Phillips, who has averaged 23 hit-outs over the last three weeks, is expected to miss the next 1-2 games but should be available for NEAFL finals.

Meanwhile GIANTS defender Nick Haynes will face a fitness test this week due to groin soreness.

In better news, small forward Devon Smith (knee) and defender Matt Buntine (concussion) are available for selection this week.

Midfielder Jack Steele is also available to play after being rested against the Swans.

GIANTS Vice Captain Tom Scully, who has already been ruled out for the remainder of the season with a shoulder injury, will have a minor operation on his finger this week.

Phil Davis (hamstring), Dylan Shiel (knee), Shane Mumford (ankle), Tim Mohr (knee), Liam Sumner (foot) and Pat McKenna (hip) will also not play again in 2015.

The GIANTS play Carlton at Spotless Stadium on Saturday, August 22 from 1.45pm – Tickets available here
