Keep an eye-out for your favourite GIANTS players on Thursday as the club spreads across Western Sydney for the annual Australia Post AFL Community Camp.

The GIANTS will visit schools, hospitals and local football clubs as part of the camp which will see more than 750 AFL players visit communities across Australia.

It’s the first time Western Sydney has been included in the visits with more appearances continuing next week in the ACT and regional NSW.

GIANTS Chief Executive David Matthews said the GIANTS were looking forward to spending the camp in their heartland for the first time.

“It’s terrific to include Western Sydney in our Community Camp as well as continuing to take in Canberra and the regional areas of NSW,” Mr Matthews said.

“We’ve seen crowd numbers and participation rates of people playing our game in Western Sydney increase sharply in recent years so it’s great to be able to give back to them ahead of the season.

“Our first NAB Challenge match against the Western Bulldogs is just over one week away so it’s an exciting time to become a 2016 member.”

The GIANTS will split into small groups to cover as much ground as possible with players heading to a variety of different areas including Parramatta, Campbelltown, Penrith, Liverpool, Beaumont Hills and many more.
