Forward Brett Deledio will become the 83rd player to pull on the orange and charcoal jumper when he makes his long-awaited GIANTS debut in Saturday afternoon’s clash with Melbourne at UNSW Canberra Oval on Saturday.

The 30-year-old, who joined the GIANTS in a high-profile trade during the 2016 AFL Trade Period, has successfully recovered from persistent calf injuries that derailed the start of his season.

The two time All Australian has been in fine NEAFL form since making his playing return a fortnight ago. Deledio collected 42 disposals in five quarters of football and has been cleared to play his first AFL game since lining up for the Tigers in round 17 last year.

Deledio won two best and fairest awards during his 12 season, 243 game career at Richmond.

The GIANTS take on Melbourne in the nation’s capital on Saturday at 1:45pm at UNSW Canberra Oval. CLICK HERE for tickets.
