GIANTS star ruckman Shane Mumford has joined some of Western Sydney’s top sportspeople to count down to the Sydney 500 at Sydney Olympic Park on December 4-6.

2016 members will get FREE admission to a day of racing of their choice with GIANTS memberships packed with huge additional benefits to make them great value for money. 

Mumford joined Sydney Thunder’s Shane Watson, Aaron Woods from the Wests Tigers, V8 supercar driver Dave Reynolds and Paul Morris from Stadium Super Trucks at the track at Sydney Olympic Park on Tuesday. 

It’s been a busy off-season for the raging ruckman who has been recovering from ankle surgery mid-way through the 2015 season. He’ll officially return to pre-season training with the remainder of the club’s older players next Monday, November 23.

While he’s been at the club most days for his rehab, Mumford did find time to head overseas for a holiday and popped the question to now-fiance Eva Konta in her home town of Budapest.

A well-known rev-head, Mumford is one of several GIANTS players excited to have the V8s back near the club’s home stadium and training and administration base at Sydney Olympic Park.
