Adam Schneider joined the GIANTS’ coaching staff ahead of the 2018 season, returning to his home state as the club’s NEAFL coach, having grown up in southern NSW and attended school in Leeton and Wagga Wagga.

Schneider retired from the AFL at the end of 2015 after 228 games with the Swans and St Kilda, including the Swans’ 2005 Premiership.

After being an important mentor at St Kilda late in his playing career, Schneider moved into coaching in 2017, leading Beaumaris in the VAFA Premier Division.

Ahead of the 2020 AFL season, Schneider was promoted to an assistant coaching role.
