GIANTS forward Jeremy Finlayson has re-signed with the club for a further three years.

Finlayson, 24, has thrived since moving to the forward line in 2019 and this re-commitment will see him at the GIANTS until at least the end of 2023.

Originally from Culcairn in Southern NSW, Finlayson moved to Western Sydney to finish high school and work closer with the GIANTS Academy.

He joined the club as pick 85 in the 2014 draft and has gone on to play 52 games for the GIANTS.

2019 was a breakout season for the versatile forward, kicking 44 goals in 23 games and he’s kicked at least one goal in all of his 14 games in 2020.

General Manager Football Jason McCartney said the GIANTS were pleased to secure the talented forward and proud Yorta Yorta man.

“Jeremy has shown he can play at both ends of the ground and his ability to also pinch hit in the ruck has made him a valuable and versatile member of our playing group,” said McCartney.

“Jeremy’s development both on and off field in recent years has been exceptional and we’re delighted he’s committed long term to the GIANTS.”

Finlayson said he was excited to commit to the club.

“It’s an unreal feeling, I’ve been here since the start of my career,” he said.

“I’m happy with another three years here, it’s a great club with a great culture and I’m really happy.”

The GIANTS play St Kilda on Friday night at 7.50pm. The game can be seen around the country on the Seven Network and Fox Footy.
