The GIANTS will now host Brisbane in Sydney in round seven.

The GIANTS will host Brisbane at GIANTS Stadium in round seven in a season which continues to provide twists and turns on a regular basis.

The GIANTS were recently scheduled to play Richmond at the MCG on Sunday, July 19 but the Grand Final rematch will now take place later in the year.

The GIANTS and Brisbane game will take place at 1.45pm on Saturday, July 18 which gives the GIANTS a six day break after the round six clash against Port Adelaide on the Gold Coast.

The round six match is one of the few games unaffected by the re-jigged fixture which will see all nine games played across New South Wales and Queensland.

While the GIANTS are in Queensland, two games will take place at GIANTS Stadium with Collingwood and Hawthorn playing at GIANTS Stadium on Friday, July 10 and Melbourne and Gold Coast playing at the Olympic Park venue two days later.

Round seven will see GIANTS Stadium host two more games (GIANTS v Brisbane and Hawthorn v Melbourne) with games also returning to Perth and Adelaide.

An AFL statement released on Friday afternoon said: "The amendment to the fixture has been made based on relevant State Government and Medical officer advice to firstly ensure the safety of not only the clubs, players, officials and the wider community, but also to provide certainty to clubs and fans on the next block of games.

"The temporary relocation of all 10 Victorian-based teams out of the state will see them move to bases in Queensland, NSW and WA where they will undergo the various quarantine regimes while also continuing to adhere to the strict protocols the AFL has in place."

Information regarding the opportunity for GIANTS members to attend these games will be communicated in due course.
