Jeremy Cameron’s six-goal haul against Collingwood in round 18 has seen him claim a ‘perfect 10’ in the Shadforth AFLCA Champion Player of the Year Award and named at centre half-forward in AFL.com.au’s Team of the Week.

It’s the second time this season that Cameron has been awarded 10 votes in a game, with his seven-goal game against Richmond in round three receiving the same honours.

Cameron’s game wasn’t just confined to his goalkicking; the Coleman Medal leader also took nine marks and collected 20 disposals as the GIANTS dominated the Magpies by 47 points at GIANTS Stadium.

Toby Greene’s first game as captain earned him seven votes from Leon Cameron and Nathan Buckley as he was named in the midfield in the Team of the Week.

Greene was everywhere as the GIANTS kicked eight goals to two in the opening quarter and he finished with 27 disposals and two inspiring last-quarter goals.

Young midfielder Tim Taranto continued his solid form, also receiving seven votes from the coaches for his 31 disposal and 14 tackle game on Saturday.

Lachie Whitfield (29 disposals, four marks and five tackles) earned two votes for his game on the wing while forward Harry Himmelberg (four goals, two goal assists and nine marks) and defender-turned-midfielder Zac Williams (26 disposlas, four marks, 10 tackles, five inside-50s and four rebound-50s) earned two votes.

Veteran Heath Shaw didn’t receive a coaches vote in his 299th game, but was named in the back pocket in AFL.com.au’s Team of the Week.

Shaw racked up 26 possessions, took 10 marks and had 12 rebound-50s in the GIANTS’ crucial win.

Tim Taranto is the highest-polling GIANT in the Shadforth AFLCA Champion Player of the Year Award with 51 votes (17 behind leader Tim Kelly from Geelong), Jeremy Cameron is close behind on 46 and injured vice-captain Stephen Coniglio remains inside the top 20 with 45 votes.
