Coach Leon Cameron has added five players to the extended bench for Sunday’s clash with the Brisbane Lions while ruckman Shane Mumford will miss the match with soreness.
Star midfielder Lachie Whitfield has been named on the interchange with the versatile Adam Tomlinson named in the ruck.
Cameron has gone with two other ruck options on the bench with the final team to be named at 5pm on Friday.
Reliable veteran Dawson Simpson is on the interchange, along with youngster Matt Flynn who could be in line to play the first game of his career.
After his match-winning heroics in the NEAFL last Friday night, Ian “Bobby” Hill could also be in line for an AFL debut while key defender Jake Stein joins Brent Daniels, Adam Kennedy and Jackson Hately on an extended interchange.
The GIANTS return to GIANTS Stadium to take on the Brisbane Lions on Sunday afternoon and this week the kids are taking over.
