Don’t miss the GIANTS’ AFL side in action for the first time in 2019, with the practice match against cross-town rivals the Swans to be live-streamed on Friday morning.

The GIANTS will have their first competitive hit out for the year, just over a week before their opening JLT Community Series match – also against the Swans at the same venue. 

The practice match will be open for the public to attend at Blacktown International Sportspark on Friday, February 22, with the first bounce at 9.30am, but for those who can’t attend the live-stream is there to save the day! 

The match will be streamed live on the GIANTS’ website and app from 9:30am. 

Triple M’s Liam Flanagan will host the stream, with special comments from non-playing GIANTS and Swans players as people get their first glimpse of how both sides are shaping up for the season ahead. 

Both teams will be without key players, with four from each side involved in AFLX in Melbourne that evening – including GIANTS Phil Davis, Jeremy Cameron, Lachie Whitfield and Stephen Coniglio.

Team lists will be made available prior to the game, and the GIANTS will provide live updates on Twitter and Instagram (@gwsgiants). 

For those attending the practice match, please not there will be limited amenities at Blacktown International Sportspark on Friday.

The two teams will face off again in the first JLT Community Series match at Blacktown International Sportspark on March 2 at 7.10pm with free entry for all, subject to capacity.
