It’s good news coming from the rehab room for the GIANTS with three important players nearing a return to the field.

Toby Greene (foot), Brett Deledio (calf) and Daniel Lloyd (knee) won’t line up for the GIANTS this week against the Eagles but could be firmly in the frame when the GIANTS return home to take on the Tigers in round 17.

“We’re looking at having a return in the orange guernsey for Daniel Lloyd, Toby Greene and Brett Deledio in the next one to two weeks,” said Head of Athletic Performance David Joyce.

“They’ve progressed very pleasingly well over the last two or three weeks and we’ll see them back in action in the coming weeks.”

All Australian and Kevin Sheedy Medallist Greene has played three games this season with a persistent foot and toe issue keeping him sidelined since round five.

Veteran Deledio impressed with some of his best form in the orange and charcoal across the beginning of the season before hamstring tightness and a calf injury stalled his season.

Rookie Lloyd played every game of the season until an injury to his medial collateral ligament (MCL) in his knee kept him sidelined for the past fortnight.

All three are expected to be available for selection in the next fortnight.

Tom Scully (ankle) and Zac Williams (achilles) are continuing their steady progression from serious injuries and remain in the frame to return to the field before the season is out.
