Exciting forward Will Hoskin-Elliott will be sidelined for the next four to six weeks due to a shoulder injury.

Hoskin-Elliott suffered the injury in a collision late in the final NAB Challenge match against the Swans at StarTrack Oval, Canberra.

GIANTS Head of Athletic Performance David Joyce said: “We have explored a range of options for treating Will’s injury and are confident that four to six weeks of rehabilitation will have him ready to return to action.”

The 21-year old had a breakout season in 2014 playing 20 games and kicking 26 goals.

Meanwhile small forward Liam Sumner has suffered another injury set back, breaking his wrist in a training incident.

Sumner will miss the next eight to 12 weeks with the injury.

In better news for the GIANTS, defender Tim Mohr will play for the UWS GIANTS in a NEAFL practice match against the Sydney Swans reserves at Tom Wills Oval on Saturday.

It will be Mohr’s first match since tearing his ACL in Round 18 last year.

Jon Patton (knee), Lachie Plowman (elbow), Jacob Townsend (foot), Jeremy Finlayson (hip) and Sam Schulz (hip) remain in the rehabilitation group.
