GIANTS recruit Josh Kelly has always been cool under pressure, even from a young age.

Kelly, who shows composure on the football field well beyond his years, said nothing seemed to bother him as a child.

“I was a pretty laid-back sort of kid who usually took everything in my stride,” Kelly said.

“Nothing much ever bothered me and I could kick the footy around the house by myself for hours without getting bored.”

The talented midfielder, who turned 19 yesterday, said he now feels at home in Sydney’s west.

“It was pretty daunting moving interstate but I feel really comfortable with everything now,” he said.

“We’re starting to play games now which is really exciting and I just can’t wait to get stuck in.”

Kelly was selected with the second pick of the 2013 NAB AFL Draft.

He played his junior football with Brighton Grammar and Sandringham Dragons before representing Vic Metro in the NAB AFL Under-18 National Championships.
