ABOUT

Manuka Oval, Canberra is one of Australia’s most iconic venues.

Set in the picturesque suburb of Manuka, it is the premier venue for AFL and cricket in Canberra with a seating capacity of approximately 16,000 including standing room.

The Manuka Oval precinct retains much of its original tree plantings from the 1920s, with now-large mature specimens of cypress, poplar, oak and elm trees defining the circular space of the sports ground.

It is also home to the historic Jack Fingleton scoreboard which was originally located at the famous Melbourne Cricket Ground.

From the oval, the tower of St Christopher's Cathedral and Red Hill are the only visible features outside the ground. On site, the original curator's cottage and the Lord's Taverners garden add a certain charm to the environment.

Manuka Oval Canberra hosts four AFL matches per year, as well as local cricket and the famous PM's XI and is just 10 minutes from Parliament House and the airport, with plenty of on-site parking.

Like Spotless Stadium in Sydney, fans can enjoy kick to kick on the ground after every GIANTS match.
