Player Bio

Alicia Eva was recruited from Melbourne University with pick 54 and represented Collingwood in the first-ever NAB AFL Women’s season, playing all seven games. Named Collingwood vice-captain prior to the 2017 season, Eva finished second in the Magpies’ Best and Fairest. After being traded to the GIANTS Eva was named vice-captain for the 2018 season and had an outstanding year being named in the 2018 All Australian team and winning the Gabrielle Trainor Medal as the GIANTS’ club champion. Eva is also a highly- regarded coach; she was the head coach of the Calder Cannons TAC Cup Girls program and was the first female to be named head coach of a male high performance side when she led the Calder Cannons U15 boys team. After coaching the NSW/ACT U18s Youth Girls in 2018, Eva will take on a role as an assistant coach for the GIANTS at NEAFL level in 2019.
