Player Bio

Victorian Adam Treloar is a silky skilled right-footer who has played predominately through the GIANTS midfield as a creative and running player. Treloar arrived at the GIANTS in 2011 as a 17-year-old underage recruit from the Dandenong Stingrays. After making his debut and earning a NAB AFL Rising Star nomination in 2012, Treloar finished fifth in the Kevin Sheedy Medal in 2013. Treloar was named in the GIANTS’ emerging leaders group before the 2014 season.

Starting the year playing a key role in the round one victory over the Swans, he maintained that level for virtually the entire year. Blessed with a combination of pace and strength, he averaged almost 28 touches and six marks a game, finishing fourth in the best and fairest. Driven to succeed, he played in all six wins last season and is a key to more triumphs in the years ahead.

Treloar’s second season at the top level in 2013 was nothing short of sensational. Averaging a team-high 24 possessions across his 20 games, he finished fifth in the best and fairest and showed a noticeable lift in maturity on and off the field. Fiercely determined to help the GIANTS start winning regularly, he is a star on the rise.

Hailed alongside Shiel and Cameron among the most talented youngsters from the club's 2011 access selections, Treloar lacked a little confidence in his ability early in the season. But he would soon settle into the midfield and demonstrate his outstanding pace and skills. He kicked 12 goals in his 19 games and earned a Rising Star nomination for his stunning 37 touches and nine marks against Collingwood in round 18.

Another GWS youngster hailing from the Dandenong Stingrays, Treloar is a versatile midfielder with exceptional skills. From Noble Park in Melbourne, he can also shift forward and kick goals and is driven to succeed at AFL level.
