Star forward Jeremy Cameron and ruck Rory Lobb are likely to return to the GIANTS’ side when they take on the West Coast Eagles at Spotless Stadium on Saturday.

Cameron looks set to come back into the side after a week on the sidelines to manage a toe injury he had been carrying across the early rounds.

Lobb will train on Wednesday to put his hand up for selection after overcoming bone bruising suffered in a marking collision in round three.

“Rory had quite a bit of bone bruising that we needed to look after,” said GIANTS Head of Athletic Performance David Joyce.

“He had a really strong week of conditioning last week, got loads of kilometres under his belt and into his knee.

“He’s had no adverse reaction whatsoever, so we expect him to train tomorrow and be available for selection this weekend.

“Jeremy Cameron has also done well. He had a good running session on Sunday, covered a load of kilometres, was completely comfortable and we expect him to line up this weekend as well.”

Josh Kelly (groin) and Brett Deledio (hamstring) won’t be available for the Eagles clash with the pair set for another week on the sidelines.

The signs are positive for Kelly, who has missed the past four games.

“Josh is probably about a week away,” Joyce said.

“His groin symptoms/pelvis symptoms are under control and it’s just about exposing him to more load and kicking and training and those sorts of things.

“We don’t want him to pinball in and out of rehab, we want to get him back for the long haul so we’re pleased and comfortable with where he’s at.”

Toby Greene (foot) has begun running again after scans revealed a hot spot in his foot a fortnight ago.

“Toby’s spent a little bit of time in a protective boot just to give that a bit of a rest,” Joyce said.

“He’s come out of that now and is feeling a lot better from that. We’ve had two or three strong running sessions with him and he’s progressing really well.

“It’s still a little bit early to give an exact timeline on when we expect Toby back … but again, another one that we’re comfortable with his progress.”

Popular defender Adam Kennedy is also inching closer to a return from his ACL injury, set to join full training with the main squad on Wednesday.

The GIANTS take on West Coast at Spotless Stadium at 1:45pm on Saturday with the team to face the Eagles to be named on Thursday evening.
