SUMMARY

Round six sees the GIANTS return to their home ground at Spotless Stadium for the first time this season and they'll be keen to make up for last week's disappointing draw with St Kilda. Leon Cameron's men had multiple chances to seal the game in the final term, but let themselves down in front of goal to let two important points get away from them.

The Lions made a late run at the Suns to almost steal last week's match at the Gabba, but while their comeback was a positive, the fact remains that they're still winless in 2018.

Gun forwards Jonathon Patton, Jeremy Cameron and Toby Greene loom as big problems for Brisbane, especially if the GIANTS' midfield can get them consistent opportunities inside 50, and the form of veteran Brett Deledio is also a major plus for the GIANTS. Charlie Cameron is a Lion for the GIANTS to lock down on, with his speed and goalkicking sense always a danger.

THE SIX POINTS

1. The GIANTS set up their win over the Lions when they last played, with a nine-goal third quarter. Jeremy Cameron, Jonathon Patton and Toby Greene kicked four goals each.

2. Brisbane’s scoring struggles have continued this season. They're ranked 17th averaging only 71 points per game and haven’t kicked 100 points in a game since late in 2017. The GIANTS are averaging 94 points.

3. The GIANTS and Brisbane clash for the seventh time and the Giants hold the advantage, winning four games to two. The Lions won the first two meetings, the Giants have won the last four.

4. The GIANTS play their first game at Spotless Stadium this season. In 2017 they won seven of nine matches at the venue and since the start of 2016 have won 13 of 18.

5. No team has taken the ball inside 50 less this season than the Lions. They're the only team averaging less than 50 per game with 48.6. the GIANTS have been strong in this area, with an average of 54.8.

6. Despite a quiet game last week, Brisbane midfielder Dayne Zorko is ranked sixth in the Schick AFL Player Ratings, the highest of any player in this clash.

IT'S A BIG WEEK FOR …

Lions star Dayne Zorko was held to just five possessions by Sam Reid when the GIANTS belted the home side at the Gabba in round 14 last year, and after being blanketed in last week's QClash the star onballer will be out to find plenty of footy.
