It’s not easy, but Nathan Wilson says he’s getting used to finals footy.

The GIANTS defender is set to play his fourth AFL final in Saturday’s semi-final against West Coast at Spotless Stadium.

Despite his inexperience in September football, the 24-year-old said he’s just focused on playing well.

“I don’t think anyone needs to gee themselves up for a finals series, I just try and take it in my stride,” he said.

“Last year was my first finals series so I sort of took that in and this year I’m not as nervous as last year which is good.

“I want to just go out there and play the best footy I can.”

Wilson and his GIANTS teammates will need to be at their best on Saturday when they face an in-form Eagles side.

The visitors made it through to the semi-final by the skin of their teeth thanks to a Luke Shuey goal after the extra-time siren in their elimination final against Port Adelaide last Saturday night.

“Going to Adelaide and beating Port Adelaide is a massive task so they’ll be coming over here with confidence,” Wilson said.

“I thought we played pretty well against them three weeks ago here and we’ll take a bit of confidence out of that as well but we’ve got to bring our pressure around the contest.”

The GIANTS will have the home ground advantage, which Wilson said he’s is looking forward to.

“In Adelaide they had 50,000 supporters cheering them on so we need as much support as we can at Spotless on Saturday,” he said.

“West Coast will bring a few supporters over as well, hopefully it’s going to be packed out, I can’t wait.”

The GIANTS take on West Coast in a Semi-Final at Spotless Stadium on Saturday night at 7:25pm in the club’s final home game of the season with the winner to progress to a Preliminary Final.
